    Joey “Jaws” Chestnut of San Jose, California, packed away 61 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes on Friday at the Coney Island contest. He won last year with 69.

    Matt Stonie, also of San Jose, was hoping for an upset. But he downed just 56.

    In the women’s division, defending champion Sonya “Black Widow” Thomas lost her title to Miki Sudo (MIHK’-ee SOO’-doh).

    Sudo, of Las Vegas, wolfed down 34 franks and buns. Thomas, of Alexandria, Virginia, was only able to devour 27 3/4.

    Well, I guess if they actually did it with Latkes, someone in Israel might get a better seat right? But really, who cares if a slob acts his impulses. I just pray that the surgeon who has to operate on a burst bowel might have to have less infection if that bubble slum bursts. Disgusting.

    I have never understood how it is humanly possible to eat that much, never mind in that little time. Apparently it can be done, though. Yuck. And what’s the point?

    Is this the guy who proposed to his girlfriend after the event? No way she going to let him eat that many more in the future.
    Check the records- there are never any newlyweds that are winners of this contest.
