Toronto – Toronto Mayor Rob Ford won’t guarantee he will stay sober if he’s re-elected, telling a radio show that people will just have to trust him.

Ford returned this week to City Council from two months in rehab. He said in an interview Friday on Newstalk 1010 that he can’t make promises about something over which he has “no control.”
Ford insisted that returning to lead Canada’s largest city and run for re-election Oct. 27 won’t compromise his recovery.
Ford said earlier this week that he’s used “every drug you can probably think of”. He blamed substance abuse for the racist and homophobic language he’s used.
His reign as mayor has been marred by revelations about his substance abuse. City Council stripped Ford of most of his powers last year.
Finally… an honest politician
Typical guy a mushches
If Torontonians re-elect this menuvel they deserve everything they get. What a disgusting arrogant clown.
At least he’s being honest about his addiction, most politicians would just pretend that they’re healed. Besides he didn’t physically hurt anyone, he just said some really stupid stuff.
I’d happily swap him for DeBlasio.
I live in a city where the MAYOR is an open lesbian. And not good as a city manager.
This guy has a few problems and his office is doing great. Why wouldn’t you want him?
He’s honest, funny, smart and hopefully about to break his dug habit.
Give him another chance.
