Jerusalem – Intifada In The Age Of Social Media: Facebook Page Offers Guide On Confronting Israel

Jerusalem – Palestinians wishing to riot against Israeli security forces can turn to social media, which has seen traffic increase substantially in recent days due to the tumult engulfing Israel and the territories.

Now, a Facebook page entitled “People’s Committees to Confront the Occupation” is offering would-be rioters tips on how best to engage Israeli policemen and soldiers in clashes.

In the Facebook post, Palestinians are told to “gather as many stones and empty glass bottles as well as onions to combat against tear gas,” “cover your faces,” and “map out escape routes beforehand.”

The Facebook page has so far received more than 12,000 likes.
