The police officer has been suspended without pay while an internal disciplinary hearing is held, Ramapo town Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence said. The officer, whom he declined to identify, is being investigated for his possible role in the alleged abuse that occurred at S., officials said.
“These are very serious allegations,” St. Lawrence said.
Rockland District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said yesterday that no charges have been filed against S. in Rockland, only in NYC.
“We are appealing to the public to contact this office if they have been a victim or if they are aware of any victims of crimes committed in Rockland by Mr. S,” he said.

Can someone please enlighten me as to what all this is about? I’m slightly confused. Mr. Silber has been accused of running a medical practice of which he is the purported physician (gynochologist). From the articles in the mainstream press this seems to ba a fact; as it quotes other doctors which have offices in the same medical building on Park Avenue saying that they can’t believe the accusations. Z is such a special person, etc etc. Bottom line: is he a licensed doctor or not? If he is then the accusations of some of the patients have to be looked into and it is not for any of us to come to conclusions based on our prior knowledge of Mr. S. If however it is verified that he is not a real doctor, then he is guilty of immoral behavior to the second degree for every patient that he has ever serviced. I think this is a black and white issue. His prior acts of kindness and charity don’t play a role here one way or another. Please someone enlighten me.
