The Prime Minister spoke to his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu, who has warned that Hamas will pay a “heavy price” for the rocket attacks.
The Israeli army has intensified its offensive on the Gaza Strip in an effort to hit Hamas targets, but militants continued to fire rocket salvos at Israeli cities.
A No 10 spokeswoman said: “The Prime Minister spoke to prime minister Netanyahu earlier this evening about the situation in Israel.
“The Prime Minister strongly condemned the appalling attacks being carried out by Hamas against Israeli civilians.
“The Prime Minister reiterated the UK’s staunch support for Israel in the face of such attacks, and underlined Israel’s right to defend itself from them.”
Since the offensive began yesterday, Israel has attacked more than 400 sites in Gaza, killing more than 40 people.
Give Cameron the phone number of Obama. Maybe he can knock some sense into his thick head.
why doesn’t VIN include in every article posted HOW MANY ROCKETS WERE FIRED INTO ISRAEL, how many TERRORISTS tried to infiltrate Israel, how many SUICIDE BOMBERS entered Israel
Maybe the americans should have shown restraint to the native americans. oh i see now that they won the war they preach peace. lets see what would happen if the native americans started shooting rockets into other states from the reservations.
Let Nobama take a lesson from this man,but then again we can’t really expect our president to go against his fellow muslim brethren, can we,
And through all the silence, Obama still has 60% of the Jewish (mostly secular though) vote
I would like to see how many countries start to phone and weigh in, I would like to see Obuma with egg all over his face.
Good for you David Cameron.
