The pro-Israel rally was organized by Jewish City Council members, the Jewish Community Relations Council and other pro-Israel groups. Elected officials from the New York area attended.

“Support for Israel in the United States Congress is strong and it’s bipartisan. And that’s the way it should be,” said Congressman Eliot Engel (D-New York). “Because you can have protesters trying to scream and scream us out but the fact of the matter is, is the representatives in Washington D.C. … are supportive and pro-Israel because Israel shares our values.”

The pro-Israel speakers focused on the fact that Israel has taken many steps to keep civilians safe and minimize civilian deaths in the latest rocket attacks after violence erupted after three Israeli teen boys were kidnapped and murdered in June.

Pro-Palestinian supporters negated Engel’s statements, saying New York doesn’t speak for all of its residents and not everyone is pro-Israel.

The genocide issue belongs to the hamas and all others who wish to kill all jews wherever they live .Look at Paris where the arabs wished to destroy a synagogue . It hasn’t to do with israel ,it’s Jews, all of us, that they want to kill It is about time for the jewish sympathizers realize this

It looks to me that the Palestinians have a good point, -who gave the right for the Israeli government to evict them (the Palestinians) from “ISRAEL”? what used to be called Palestine.

We dont need to go to isreal to see who is guilty, just take a look at the 2 protests and judge for yourself. first the one with politicians, where you cant even hear what they say due to the noise from half block away, then Look at these palastinians how they protest “out of control” & their facial expression that says” i am ready to kill you” which leaves no doubt in anyones mind who realy wants piece.

Everyone should circulate a photo of the “Jewish New Yorker” I would staunchly defend her right to free expression – but if she publicly hangs out her alleged Jewishness I would love to know if she’s a member of the Socialist Workers Party or some other left wing organization with a history of anti-Israel activism (And I mean real bonafide left wing – not the “anybody-who-doesn’t-vote-Republican-is-left” type of “left wing” nonsense found so often here)

A lot of these protesters are white liberals who wouldn’t know a Palestinian from a Pomeranian. The same kind of rabble that organized Occupy Wall Street. They have no clue about the actual facts on the ground and don’t care to. Those women in the third picture from the bottom? Do you think they know that women have no rights under Sharia law? Are they aware that this is the lifestyle they’re defending?

To understand the truth of modern day Israel, you must first have a clear understanding of the history of the region.

Judea was an autonomous state in the Persian Empire following the return from Babylonian exile thanks to Cyrus, King of Persia. Following the death of Alexander the Great who had captured the Persian Empire, it became part of two Hellenistic.

Following the Maccabean revolt, Judea became an independent state. Following the death of King Herod, the Romans seized it and it then became a Roman province. Judea was briefly independent during the first revolt against the Romans until it was finally destroyed when the Romans put down the revolt and destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in the year 70.

Judah lost its independence to Rome in the year 70 and became again a colony. In the year 135, the Romans gave the country the name “Palaestina”. The name Palaestina, which became Palestine in English, is derived from Herodotus, who used the term Palaistine Syria to refer to the entire southern part of Syria, meaning “Philistine Syria.” This was to add insult to injury against the Jewish people. The intent was to remove any memory of a Jewish presence.

It is a sad and almost dangerous time for Jews around the world.Just look what happened yesterday in France Palestinians storming a shull.

Israel, did nothing for Jews besides trouble and antisemitism.Jews are being shown around the world as baby killers. The fact that Hamas is firing rockets isn’t good enough for the world to agree with Israels aggression.

Now is not the time but when things quiet down it would be a kiddush hashem for Orthodox Jews around the world to come out with some strong statements that observant Jews have nothing in common with the state of Israel and Zionism. The biblical claim by Zionist that Israel belongs to Jews is false.Eretz Yisroel was given to Jews with conditions and we failed as we say in our prayers “Umipnei Cataeynu galinu m’artzenu.”
