Angelique Campbell, the widow of Lawrence Campbell, tells The Jersey Journal that she was sorry for the comments she made Sunday. She says she wants to apologize to the family of slain Officer Melvin Santiago.
Campbell says she will love her husband until the day she dies no matter what he did.
Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop called her earlier comments “disgusting” and “ignorant.” He also lashed out at a memorial set up for Lawrence Campbell.
Police say they are looking for clues to explain why Campbell, who had prior drug arrests, would have committed such a violent act.
Lock her up after a comment like that nothing good will result
Police say they are looking for clues to explain why Campbell, who had prior drug arrests, would have committed such a violent act?
You wanna know WHY! ’cause he is a top of the line POS, that’s why!
The Mayor is wrong. Dead wrong! The dead officer is the proof. If the Mayor would not be afraid to say that this memorial is not just “ignorant” but the widow is ignorant then he would be placing blame where it belongs. On people!
What a devoted wife he had.
mr mayor …you reap what you sow
She must have been trained by Hamas
MIT aza vahb, no wonder he did something stupid to get himself killed! Better than to go home to this.
