The tainted raw tomatoes, which have sickened people in 23 states, most likely came from Mexico or central or southern Florida, according to the F.D.A., which has provided a list of states and areas, which have not been linked to the tainted tomatoes. (Some New York restaurants have taken to informing customers of the provenance of the tomatoes in their dishes.)
The implicated tomatoes include red round tomatoes and oblong Roma tomatoes. Safe ones include cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes, tomatoes sold with the vine still attached, and tomatoes grown at home, health officials said.
Salmonella causes mild to severe diarrhea, which can be dehydrating. Anyone who has symptoms (diarrhea, abdominal pain) and is concerned they might have the illness should call their regular doctor, officials said.
If their are eight tomatoes in a can of tomato sauce, how many ducks are there in a jar of duck sauce?
