Seventy-five year old Elena Reichman had a plane ticket to fly to New York for Passover when she was arrested April 16 after pushing a female sheriff’s deputy in the security screening area.
TSA officers say she got upset when they asked her to remove the metal items she had in her pockets. According to the arrest report, she argued with them and “demanded she be allowed to proceed down the concourse without interruption.” Authorities say Reichman placed both hands on the deputy and pushed her. Reichman, a grandmother and a widow, was then placed in a chair and handcuffed and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer.
In a one-sentence written statement, the state attorney’s office says there was probable cause to arrest her but in the interest of justice, they decided to drop the charge.
Sure they wanted to avoid a spectacle in the courtroom. Just imagine the headlines and the pictures. “Seventy Five Year Old Holocaust survivor relives concentration camp experience in Boca Raton”
And 75 year old jewish pepoe think they can do whatever they want when they want?
Are you the same person that said we should fry the 92 year old man that was an SS officer?
Why the double standard?
If a person is wrong or guilty of something then they are guilty. We should stop with this business that when it’s one of us we shold get away with it.
Do the crime then do the time no matter what age.

My mother is “profiled” as a potential terrorist every time she goes through security. They make her get out of her wheelchair, examine her & her cane, and she’s 76.
She’s used to it. I’m not, I get upset because it’s humiliating & demeaning, & frightening.
