The former president warned that Israel is “isolating itself from world opinion” by failing to clinch a peace deal with the Palestinians and launching military operations in the Gaza Strip.

“I believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu could and should make a comprehensive peace agreement with the Palestinians,” Clinton told the NDTV network.

The former president said that the absence of peace would contribute to Israel’s long-term international isolation.

When asked about the current crisis in the South, Clinton chided Hamas for “forcing” Israel to kill Palestinian civilians by “raining rockets down” on the South.

“Hamas was perfectly well aware what would happen if they started raining rockets on Israel,” the former president said. “They fired a thousand of them, and they have a strategy designed to force Israel to kill their own civilians so that the rest of the world will condemn them.”

“Over the long run it is not good for Israel to keep isolating itself from world opinion because of the absence of a viable peace process,” Clinton said. “In the short to medium term, Hamas can inflict terrible public relations damage on Israel by forcing it to kill Palestinian civilians to counter Hamas.”

The former president said that Israel and the Palestinians should be focused on “a peace process that gets Israel security recognition and peace, and that gets the Palestinians their state.”

Clinton said that he believed “60 percent of Israelis” would back Netanyahu if he made an agreement with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that would pave the way for a Palestinian state.

Clinton also praised the Iron Dome system, calling it “a miracle that [Hamas] has fired 1,000 rockets and more people weren’t killed.”

The former president said that while Israel “was partly responsible” for the breakdown in peace talks, the Palestinians also bear some of the blame for refusing to talk to Israel during the nine-month settlement freeze that was declared during US President Barack Obama’s first term in office.

Clinton’s ‘peace’ deal, which earned him, Arafat and Rabin a peace prize and worldwide adoration for Israel…and….. a thousand dead Israelis and tens of thousands injured.

I’ll take ‘world’ condemnation…and safety, security and a great economy for Israel.

    What a disingenuous clown.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency said Thursday it was investigating after finding 20 rockets hidden in one of its vacant schools in Gaza, according to Agence France Presse.

UNRWA condemned the finding as a “flagrant violation” of international law and said the rockets had been removed and the “relevant parties” informed.

Hey Bill, remember when you had Rabin and Arafat in Camp David and Israel agreed to a final peace plan which would have ended this conflict (supposedly) many years ago? Remember that Arafat backed out at the last minute and started an Intifada instead? Remember when Menachem Begin (as much a hardliner as Bibi if not more) made a peace deal with Egypt which included giving back the Sinai including valuable oil fields? Remember when Israel unilaterally pulled out of Gaza in an attempt to disengage from being an “occupier” and even left countless greenhouses that were used to turn the dessert into an agricultural palace for the Palestinians? Did that result in the Palestinians taking a step closer to peace as we did? Hell no!! It’s now raining rockets from there. I would have thought that you of all people would understand that Israel is a willing peace partner and has demonstrated it is capable of making sacrifices for peace. Unfortunately there is no one on the other side that is able, even if willing, to do the same. Israel would do almost anything for guaranteed peace. The problem is that the one thing that the Arabs want that Israel won’t do, is to roll over and die.

Who does this philandering fool want Israel to sign a peace agreement with? The Abbas-Hamas (it has a ring to it) conglomerate? If this is alsothe view of his so-called wife, maybe the stupid liberal Jews will wake up from their comatose state before they vote for her or is there no hope for these liberals.

If you do not make peace when you are on top, you will have peace imposed upon you when you are on the bottom.
