New York – An industry-leading Jewish New York lawyer, not to mention a multi-millionaire as well, [wants to remain anonymous] made a friendly bet in recent months with his law-firm partner over who would win the Democratic presidential primary—Sen. Hillary Clinton or Sen. Barack Obama. The loser would have to contribute $10,000 to a Jewish organization of his choosing.

While the partner rooted for Obama, the lawyer opted for Clinton—who spectacularly lost to the Obama juggernaut a scant few weeks ago.
The affluent attorney thus found himself short of $10,000—but an organization he loves and supports, Ichud Hatzalah of Israel, found itself on the receiving end of, Eli Beer, Ichud’s chief coordinator confirmed on a phone conversation with VIN News, that they have in fact received last week via mail ten grand and a note attached to it, “I lost a bet, hers is my donation”, to Ichud’s astonishment , they called the lawyer and he explained to them the story of the bet.
The money was earmarked for the purchase of new specially-equipped scooters to allow EMT’s and paramedics to quickly navigate narrow streets and crowds to arrive at emergency scenes.
Meanwhile, the attorney and his partner have made another mutual bet, this one on whether Sen. John McCain or Sen. Barack Obama will capture the White House come November—and with a vastly larger sum at stake.
But regardless of who loses, an undisclosed Jewish organization is sure to win, and win big
