Cairo – PLO Offers 24-hour Truce, Says It Speaks For Hamas

    Cairo – A senior PLO official has called for a 24-hour humanitarian cease-fire in the Gaza war, saying he is also speaking in the name of Hamas.

    Yasser Abed Rabbo, secretary general of the Palestine Liberation Organization, said on Tuesday that Israel must bear the consequences if it rejects this call.

    There was no immediate comment from Hamas on the offer.

    Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev brushed aside the offer. He says that until Israel hears from Hamas directly, “it’s not serious.”

    Israel should attack on the very first missle that hamas uses to break any truce.

    Nothing wrong with a truce as long as the IDF can continue destroying the tunnels. However as the previous post suggested 1 rocket fiored ends the truce.

    I’d give it a try. This way, when Hamas breaks it, everyone will know how impotent Abbas is.
