A NYDAILYNEWS.com (http://nydn.us/1oQqVf1) EXCLUSIVE reports that Thompson said, “I believe Jabbar Collins is innocent. A travesty of justice happened in that case.”

Collins, who served 16 years in prison on Hynes’ 1995 conviction, was freed in 2010 and is currently suing the city for $150M.

But that didn’t stop Thompson from taking yet another jab at Hynes, saying “I think there needs to be an accounting in terms of what happened in that case. We need to know the truth.”
