this whole situation was caused by him in the first place (he backed out of gaza). That's the last thing we need.

Yes, I agree. We need another Arik Sharon to kick out the residents of Gaza.
Arik Sharon caused so much destruction to Jews in Gaza and to their livelihood from their famous vegetation crops that were exported to the entire world. Then Hashem punished him and he became a vegetable head. Your wishing to have Sharon back tells me that you may be suffering from memory loss or just need a thorough psychiatric evaluation.

The Israeli army is demoralized and is no longer the army of old, hence less Nissim.

Way to many casualties, Hashem should have mercy on his Yiddish Kinder.
We should it all bear in mind the very ominous fact that these young boys died for a war that is futile and in vain. Nothing is being accomplished only that Hamas is targeting at their enemies....................

Well said. Or a Moshe Dayan. Bibi is too soft hearted. Eloquent and persuasive but lacks his predecessors' no nonsense approach. Bibi needs to fumigate this vermin once and for all.

Sad day for tzahal.

Terrible, terrible news. BD"E

Right.
Another Sharon.
The lion who unilateraly gave the Palestinians Gaza (gush katif) for nothing in return.
Who, put thousands of missiles within "throwing" distance of tens of thousands of Jews
Who, destroyed tens of beautiful thriving, flourishing, profitable communities.
Yes, we need An Arik Sharon.
We need Arik Sharon like we need a hole in our heads

We will never know what Arik Sharon's plan. My gut AMD Ariks history tells me we wouldve been proud of his plan.
It was a sad day when we were kicked out of Gaza. And Ariks destiny, the one who made us proud and showed the world that we can and know how to fight back, will forever be stuck with his move in Gaza.
What a shame.

All this proves is one thing. Not one more inch of land in the West Bank or Golan Heights to our enemies.

Actually Sharon's men suffered a high casualty rate. See battle of Mitla and Chinese Farm.

The point is, it seems there is no real leadership of the IDF at the moment.
