The 9-mm pistol, as well as 46 rounds of ammunition and a shield, were discovered missing, when the lieutenant returned to the 90th Precinct from vacation, police sources said. He had secured the weapon inside a locker.

The precinct’s commanding officer, Deputy Insp. John Corbisiero, is on vacation and could not be reached, but his second-in-command, Capt. Stefan Komar, said he couldn’t comment because there is a pending IAB probe.

Last Aug. 30, two other 9-mm pistols disappeared after an officer locked them up in the property room.
They were discovered missing the next day when the officer returned to work and weren’t found for nearly two months, when precinct maintenance workers discovered them in the basement ceiling.

It is not clear what came of that internal investigation, though at the time sources said the guns – a Glock 19 and a Glock 26 – had been properly secured and that the officer would not be disciplined by the department.

The missing guns are not the only bad news for the precinct in recent months.
In February, Det. Luis Batista, a 10-year veteran, was arrested by federal authorities and accused of passing confidential information to a drug dealer.

An internal affairs sergeant, Henry Conde, has been accused in the same case of obstructing justice for allegedly accessing IAB’s database and telling Conde he was under investigation.

The two have denied any wrongdoing, and their cases are pending.

I think the 90 th PCT needs more cops to patrol inside the station house.

I believes that 90 pct. Needs to pay more attention inside the station house also if you ever visit 90 pct you have to stand for long time to have someone to come to the window to speak with you and after they speak with you have to wait extra 15 to 20 minutes for someone to finally help you. Equipment are getting loose and they are not doing there job What are they doing???
