The driver Mr. Avraham G. 30, had ten passengers in the back of his Volvo S70, two women with babies on their laps and six children under the age of 10 half-seated or standing up.
In the front passenger seat of the car, which was built to carry just five people, was a man of 28 and another child, this time a boy of seven. Mr. G was banned of driving for 12 months.
Can 13 people fit in a Volvo BBC reporter recreates the scene with the help of passengers of all sizes. see below video
When will we stop making such a Chillul Hashem?
People please THINK before you do silly things like this.
great job! stupid person keeep it up!
It’s funny how the BBC will try to do anything to make a Jew look foolish.
Does the BBC routinely “re-do” traffic stops?
Nuance.
just like the clown car in the circus!
The problem is that this is very common among frum people. I’ve seen 21 bochurim squeezed into a 10 passenger van. Besides being illegal it is extremely dangerous and there have been many fatalities is such situations. It is only Bichasdei Hashem that there aren’t too many such insidents in our communities.
to annano 11:54 did you ever stop and think that just maeby he could int afored 2-3 taxis for the ride first scream and wright down crap and then think
suggestion shut up.
Wow he did a Chased for 13 peaple at once.
Chillul Hashem !?!? What about SAFETY?!? I suppose he said tefilas haderech so he didnt need to worry about safe driving.
I see this in Brooklyn all the time, adults sitting in a car with infants, toddlers etc on their laps.
the BBC reporter did it wrong, there was plenty of room for the 3 left
what about the “frum” school buses. they may not be jammed packed, but there are kids running up and down the bus, and standing on seats. you very rarely see them sitting!
Where I live, to see 13 “shchoirim” in a compact car, or 6 mexicans in the front seat of a pickup (with another 16 in the bed of the truck) is the norm. But when you see a heimishe yid, it makes world news.
I guess we need to remember that we are bnei milochim and we are all held to a higher standard. If for no other reason other than the goyim are jealous, hence antisemish.
Instead of once again looking at this as the world trying to make us look dumb, how about we face the reality….this guy was really dumb.
what can a goy know from shisha mischasim btallis echud? if theres room in the heart theres room in the car!!!!!
The BBC is obsessed with yidden in general & with frumme yidden in particular. just for them to post that stupid video where they show him trying to get away from the camera shows that this story is not at all about auto safety but about how stupid this frumme yid looks…
and to 11:54, “we” is not making a chilul hashem. the BBC is.
“It’s funny how the BBC will try to do anything to make a Jew look foolish.

You sound like one of those people who call every traffic cop who give a yid a ticket, an anti semite.
13 people in a car is a interesting story. Jew or not. Period.
there is only 1 thing to say
this is bbc at thier very best
will allways find something bad about us
Next time have him use some Siechal! When your car is over loaded you tie some passengers to the roof! After all thats what the roofrack is made for!
Why did’t they call for a Grand Jury? In Brooklyn, N.Y. U.S.A. it would of been the case, by the D.A. shmendrik Hynes.
Maybe he should become a BBC reporter? if he loses elections in Broooklyn.
The difference is that these goyim (you see on this video) pushed themselvs in without any “achdus” and not even a smile on their face but Im sure that our lovely brothers and sisters “kvetched” themselves in with “achdus” and hapiness where then you can even push in more…
The suicide bomers are willing to do damage to themselfs, for the sake of others in suffering.
So to for the vollunteers who undertook to squash themselfs in the vehicle, for the sake of antisemitism.
Chosid shoteh
the BBC has the best reporters int world so i don’t know why everyone is complaining your just a bunch of fools
Whoever is familiar with the BBC knows that if a Jew would scratch the finger tip of a Muslim they would make headlines of it and will not shut up on their radio station!! but if a Muslim would blow himself up in an Israeli mall killing 15 Jews they won’t spend on it more then 1/2 a minute
It never ceases to amaze me about the ignorance of so many people that are saying the BBC are anti semetic. This story would have made the same headlines if it were a muslim or what ever. the bottom line is, it is bizarre and thats why it is garnering attention
+another case of government intruding in our private affairs.we that had a chance to grow up in a more sane world, even got 21 adults in a Volkswagen.if jhony cocaron was the lawyer and oj the accused he get acquitted. if it don’t fit you must acquit.
i will never forget the summer that i happened to be in the office of a certain camp. i heard a 15 or 16 year old boy crying his heart out. he had just learned that one of his friends had been killed in an accident that happened because a camp vehicle (from a different camp) was overloaded with boys and turned over on the highway. this is not something to laugh out. be careful out there.
I THINK HE SHOULD REALLY GO IN TO THE GUINESS BOOK
Great Story!
Wow! finally BBC got some great stuff to smack up the Jews!
I’m glad this was all it for now!
bbc is anti israeli anti jewish anti semitic.
even so they have very good news coverage
Re: Anon 2:42 …because a camp vehicle (from a different camp) was overloaded with boys and turned over….
Are you saying that the van turned over cauze it was OVERLOADED?
3:14, it seems you dont know the bbc
Nuch a mazel they didnt check the trunk!
So many people don’t use seatbelts. And then, when there is a fatal accident because someone is killed because they weren’t wearing a seatbelt, we get the shnor letters from Rabbi Mattisyahu and/or Rabbi Malkiel in Lakewood!
Apart from the fact that this was most dangerous & stupid thing to do, it reminds me of the time me & my Bochurim friends in the UK crammed into a Mini…arms, legs & heads out of the doors & windows, gear stick digging into rear ends, faces squished into the windshield etc. I think the record was about 16 of us.
Of course,we had more sense than to DRIVE!! Maybe this was also a record-breaking attempt?
We know the family who did this, they are no different to all of us, good caring people who have served the kehilla (by being melamdim) through their generations. We took a trip, very elderly gr.parents in the back on the laps of the teens, the 11-12 yearolds squeezed on top with their feet out of the car, had to open the windows to fit us all in, how else does a frum family go on a chol hamoed outing? We drove very carefully. I just read a survey that nealy 100% of participants said they have driven under the influence of drugs – goim! I think we are a lot safer, because we love our family and it takes a lot of love to fit them all in the car with joy. You should hear the humour along the way.
What, and no mechitza?! 🙂
Gotta Digg this…
I wonder why Drudge didn’t catch up on this story…
To the comment about schroirim or mexicans. Are you equating a yid with them? do they learn pirkei avos? do they have minhagim that are meant to enhance the kavod habriyos that we do? are we to emulate them? if they do something, does that mean we can do those things too? where’s darkei ho’amori? Yes, they can do it and no, we cannot do it. And yes the news media is right in pointing this out to us. We should answer to a higher standard.
It’s funny how the BBC will try to do anything to make a Jew look foolish. WRONG. The Jew made himself look foolish and caused a great Chillul Hashem
Last year we drove around in the Galil with 5 adults and 2 toddlers squashed together in a Ford Escort.
Her ois I once went to the rebbi with the gantza mishpocha, nu I have 16 kids, should I leave them home alon? no ,No Az men geit tzom rebbinyu the whole mishpocha goes,,now dont ask me how many kinderlach were in my minivan,,cause maybee a cop reads this..
European countries are very strict about passenger car occupancy rates in car. If a car is certified for 5 people, police will give a hefty fine for each passenger over the limit. Not to mention seat belts for all occupants, even in the back.
Yes, it’s a big tircha for the yidishe communities, but safety comes first!
Schmendrik Says:
The BBC is obsessed with yidden in general & with frumme yidden in particular. just for them to post that stupid video where they show him trying to get away from the camera shows that this story is not at all about auto safety but about how stupid this frumme yid looks…
and to 11:54, “we” is not making a chilul hashem. the BBC is.

============================================
and you are obsessed with making yiddin look very bad
congratulations Expatriate Owl(4:27)!!! you managed to bring lakewood into the mix and bash them!! it seems like everyone always finds a way…
who remembers the joke at the “letzta gedank” play about such a story
In the second clip there is a clear but subtle attempt by the reporter to ridicule the Jew. It reminds me of the anti Jewish propaganda that you see in the museums — propaganda that preceded the holocaust.
The BBC forced him to put so many people in his car. They obviously made him do this. Those anti-semitin
ZEMEL? Is that you?
sorry bbs ! ! ! but we’ve done it several times and they fit in, but they don’t have these problems of so many people getting from 1 destination to another for thay don’t have these big families. but, please note , that big bbs could not tell us the danger in so many people, can someone else explain why a car overfilled with passangers is more dangerous to ride in then a car where everyone sits comfortable? true, it’s not so comfortable to sit in an overpacked car. but, more dangerous, why??? and who says???
STUPID
