I guess the food industry has its own dark secrets. Who would have guessed that food grade products could be harmful?
Nice to see they found it (not too hard) and they are recalling it.
Anon, what “dark” secrets do u refer to? I’ll bet this is not too harmful and they are just covering their hind quarter.
Last year I bought this water at Shoprite and got sick and I called 1800 shoprite and told them the taste was horrible and that there was something worng with the water. The water also looked funny when I shook the bottle. The water looked like it had very tiny stuff floating in it.
Nestle told me to send some bottles of my 24 pack to the company for testing and the results of the test came back negative! You think we should trust a company that is afraid if getting sued? I took some of the other bottles which I saved and sent them to an independant company which was located in PA and the stest came back positive and showed dangerous bacteria and mold in the water. I am on the process of suing Nestle and saved the letter proving my case.
When purchasing water make sure that the water was not sitting on the store shelf for a long time and look at the bottle of water to make sure nothing is floating in there. Shake the bottle and see if anyhting is floating around.
Good luck to anyone that bought this junk.
this alert should be sent out in email to all.
it could be life saving if a child drinks it
Generally regular botteled water has a 2 year expiration date on it. I have noticed that even after 6 months it could start tasting “plasticy.”
For everyone’s info, this Nestle bottled water is NOT mineral water, it is tap water that has been filtered (or not so in this case).
Personally, I do not know why people would buy this water except for the container it comes in.
