woman and bachurim shouldn’t be allowed to drive those curvy and complicated roads. look at lakewood, 62 % of accidents caused by bachurim young girls and woman. terrible. where is our responsibility to life and our families???

nishtobama- that was a stupid comment. there are plenty of very responsible female drivers and plenty of very irrisponsible male drivers too.

anon 6:44 – there are many, many mothers who don’t drive, whose husbands are in the city working & they manage to get milk & bread & everything else they need for the week. And you know what else? There are many husbands who don’t drive either & yet they still manage to eat & drink & get everthing they need. So please don’t use the bread & milk as an excuse for driving.

That means adult male cause 38% of accidents. thats more than 6% divided by three. So men shouldnt drive either.

amazing how chauvanistic people can get… Woman are known statistically in government records to be safer drivers then men – I mean come on do we ever here concern about young girls driving? of course not – but what a shrek when we know the yeshiva bochurim are in town and will be out in their cars. It is those over confident drivers who do not care for their lives or others as they negotiate tight corner turns in the country at 40-50mph and more. How many times was I cut off in Boro Park? Drivers pulling out in front of me causing me to swerve to avoid hitting them? pulling out of side streets with red lights – being an out of towner that stunned me when I first saw it, now i realize how widespread it is?

So lets look at statistics once again – How many fatal accidents in the catskills last year? who was driving the car – Male or Female – in EVERY instance it was the male so the outcome speaks for itself – I rest my case!

rabboissai we dont have to argue on whose fault it is or isnt the bottom line is that everyone Male, Female, young and old we should ALL be more careful Catskills, Brooklyn, Monsey, Lakewood or anywhere else just drive more carefully…..

and by the way most colonies have a bakery/groceries or its down the road so there is no reason to drive out for those necessities

The Family of those involved in the accident would like to thank all those who prayed for them. B”H those involved will be o.k. My Father was driving about 30 miles per hour when a goy coming from the opposite direction flying hit them head on. So it makes no difference if a Woman or Man is driving but rather who is on the road with you. May we share only happy news. Wishing all a happy, SAFE, summer.

Anon. 1:44PM. Don’t be intellectually dishonest by twisting the meaning of the quote by CHAZA”L!

in the first half of your post! You know very well that that (your spin) isn’t what’s meant by the statement in Gemara!!!

Anon. 1:44 PM, your gross misintrepretation of the Gemara reveals that you are either an ignoramus, or someone who knowingly misconstrues divrei Chazal for his own purposes…..but more likely you are both.

rashi explains the reason u should walk rather behind a lion then behind a woman is that u shouldnt come to bad thoughts so lets think in the street u have an option of going on the side but in the cae u r exposed with no where to go all the gedolim have stated therefor that its not tzinus for women to drive true in the feminest culture we live in today its hard to except direi chazel but thats y we r jewish !!

To all of you stupid commentors

There was an accident,or did you forget? How in the world did you change the subjesct matter? Should you not be asking for names of the injured so that you can say a kapital tehillim?

Now let me tell you something. I, am woman have been driving for 24 years. B”H, I have never been in an accident, nor have I been the cause of an accident. My husband, on the other hand, drives like a maniac. Does the term ‘road rage’ mean anything to you? If I could take all the money that I’ve paid to Motor Vehicles, and give it tzidaka, I would have better leverage in shamayim. Oh, I forgot to say, that I pay secretly, because he always plans on fighting these tickets. He either looses or doesnt get around to going down for a hearing. At this point, the penalties add up and the cost is more than the original ticket.

So what do you say to that?!!
