It is “absolutely critical” the Israeli government and Palestinian authority do everything in their power to quell violence in Jerusalem, the State Department warned on Thursday.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Israel “must reopen” the Temple Mount to Muslim worshippers. It has infuriated the city’s Muslim community.
For years, Glick has advocated for prayer rights on the holy site to be extended to Jews.
The mosque, one of the holiest across the Islamic world, was closed for the first time since 1967.
The US is “extremely concerned with escalating tensions across Jerusalem,” Psaki noted, as politically-charged violence continues to plague the city.

Mr. Kerry and the dubiously connected and uninformed State Department should start putting usurping Palestinians before the legitimate State of Israel in their speeches.
Mr. Kerry,
How about telling the same thing to the Arabs! Let Jews got there too without fear of arrest.
Lets call it like it is! Its “buisness as usual”.
The concern should be only to the fact that Hamas & Abbas have begged for a ceasfire just weeks ago. Now they’re on to their next campaign against Israel.
Dear White House, please be so kind as to make a public call to Israel to defend its citizens however they seem necessary so as to show the rest of the Mid East that the DEMOCRACY you preach and Israel practices won’t be a sacrifice .
Then again, what can you expect from President B. Hussein O.???
It’s interesting that they are always “concerned” about a situation after they added fuel to the fire. Next time, they should mind their own business. Everything they touch leads to disaster.
