FILE - New York Governor Andrew Cuomo speaks during a news conference in the Manhattan borough of New York January 18, 2015. REUTERSAlbany, NY – New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (KWOH’-moh) says he can’t be blamed for the corruption charges that prompted state Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver to resign any more than President Barack Obama can be blamed for former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s (WEE’-nurz) sexting scandal.

The governor says in a profile in The New Yorker published online Monday the charges against Silver relate to the acts of an individual legislator.

He defends his decision to disband a commission investigating government corruption, saying in exchange lawmakers passed modest ethics reforms and prosecutors obtained the commission’s files anyway.

Cuomo says he bears no responsibility for the acts Silver is accused of committing.

Silver is accused of taking nearly $4 million in kickbacks and payoffs. He has said he’ll be exonerated.

Weiner admitted sending explicit photos to women and resigned from Congress in 2011.

What a LAME, LAME, LAME excuse. Hardly an equal comparison between Obama’s contact with Anthony Weiner and Cuomo’s relationship with Silver. Lets be honest here Mr. Governor.

Got to love the infighting amongst the democratic party.
Throw each other under the bus.

Hello Governor, why did you disband the Moreland Commission? Was it getting too close to that which you rather not us know? Just curious.
