The budget, which de Blasio announced Monday at City Hall, would take effect July 1 and must be approved by the City Council.

It increases overall spending to $58.8 billion, up $2 billion from a year ago.

It reflects a relatively strong local economy and does not include any major spending cuts, service reductions or layoffs of municipal workers.

The mayor is increasing spending to some programs meant to help the less fortunate, including homelessness and children’s services programs.

It also doles out additional funding to the police department for bulletproof vests and to the fire department with hopes of cutting ambulances’ response times to medical emergencies.

With a poplation of 8.406 Million People. Our Mayor is spending $9207.70 per NYC Resident.

I’m asking myself what am I getting for the $9,207.70 the city is spending……? Very Little…..

Now between my NYC Corporate taxes   8.875% of Gross Corporate Revenue with very limited deductions (This is in addition to the Federal & State Corporate Tax of 9% ), My ever rising property taxes (almost $10k for a modest home – up from $5k )My Witholding taxes on my salary, and one of the highest sales tax rates in the country on almost everything including your utilities…..Add on muni meters and muni meter parking tickets, surcharges and fines……cigarette tax…..exhorbitant departmental taxes…. and in a good year, I pay more in NYC taxes then $9,207.70 for every single member of my family, baby included….

We don’t get any schooling….we use private schools and don’t get a dime of credit for the exhorbitant tuition we have to shell out of our after-tax dollars. It’s time EVERYONE come out in droves and FORCE our elected officials and politicians Frum and non-frum alike to see us getting our fair share….Dollar for Dollar tax credit on monies we spend educating our kids.
