New York – Bronx Politics Next On The List Of FBI Investigations

New York – The FBI is investigating voter fraud and financial misconduct in The Bronx.

According to The New York Post (http://bit.ly/1A7jaJ2), the focus may be on Carl Heastie, who took over the position of speaker of the New York Assembly last week after former speaker Sheldon Silver resigned from the position after being arrested on corruption charges.

Ruben Diaz Jr., the Bronx borough president, could also feel the heat. The Post reports that the reason for the investigation may have stemmed from information given to U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara. It is alleged that the information included evidence of voter fraud.
