“Though I greatly appreciate your kind invitation to meet with Democratic Senators, I believe that doing so at this time could compound the misperception of partisanship regarding my upcoming visit,” Netanyahu wrote in a letter to Senators Richard Durbin and Dianne Feinstein obtained by Reuters.

Durbin and Feinstein had invited Netanyahu to a closed-door meeting with Democratic senators in a letter on Monday.

He knows that he will be asked tuff questions, so he is chickening out.

Oh? Thats how BIG Bibi is, that he does not care to look at the Dems? Boy, cant wait for all his heedless actions to backfire.

If he would really care about partisanship he would not accept this invitation at all. What a moron.

    Consistently poor judgment

Typically dumb move by Bibi. If this doesn’t further the perception that he’s basically an extension of the Republican party, he’ll be very lucky. This is a two party country and Israel needs strong support from both parties.

This is becoming more and more twisted, why doesn’t he just meet with everyone that wants to meet him

Kol Hakovod to Bibi – very well answered.

He is correct. These senators are primarily party politicians, and as a distant second, dedicated members of the legislature. They are hacks for Obama, and want to use that meeting, not to glean the information he shares in the speech, but to attack him for circumventing the opposition of their cult leader, Obama. These clowns would do themselves a favor by attending the speech, and not behaving like a bunch of babies. They can alternatively listen to it or watch it via the media. Their invite here is conniving. I cannot think of too many Democrats that I trust.

Very smart, The democrats only want to give him a tongue lashing.

Kol Hakovod. Its about time an Israeli leader had the guts to do the right thing. Enough with looking away and answering the anti semitism of the Obama campaign. When Jews buried their heads on sand they were rewarded with the Holocaust.

I rarely agree with Netanyahu on political issues. As a person, he’s a nice guy, very personable.
I’m beginning to agree with a lot of his positions and I’m glad that he would stand up to Obama and his lackey Senators.
If the DemoRats want to hear what he has to say, just show up to his speech to Congress. Don’t make this a partisan DemoRat issue and stop whining like children.
As to the upcoming election in Israel, the Israeli people will get what they vote for: If they vote Netanyahu, they’ll get security; if they vote “Left” they’ll get more terror attacks. I hope the Israelis are smarter than the stupid Americans who reelected Obama.

Most of you sound like idiots with your comments! What happened (at least what the general public knows about) is quite simple. He was invited to speak to both Democrats and Republicans. He got snuffed by the upper echelons of the US government which is primarily Democrats. At this point the Democrat party decided “hey this is gonna be worse for us in the long run if we boycott Netanyahu” or something conniving is happening. Either way – these ‘moves’ are well thought through by political advisers on both sides, and I’m sure very complicated nonetheless. Remember, a bit down the line, after Netanyahu will be re-elected(I firmly believe he will) Obama is done his stint in office…

Meanwhile, back home, his popularity continues to fall.

What are you talking about? What “anti-Semitism in the Obama campaign” are you talking about? And to even mention the Holocaust in the same breath with this feud between Bibi and Obama shows once again how too many of us in the frum oilam have become hysterical know-nothings who react with uninformed emotionalism to anything involving Obama.

Bibi is absolutely right. He is addressing Congress only to warn the US about the Iranian subterfuge. By refusing to meet the Democrats, he is emphasizing that politics are not his motivation. Believe him or not (I absolutely do), he must decline the invite by the Democrats.

Sounds like a very logical decision to me. When John Boehner invited Netanyahu to speak to the entire bipartisan Congress, he readily accepted. When two of the Barack’s lapdogs, Dick Durbin and Shiksa Feinstein, invited him to meet with their perfidious party only, he rightfully declined. It would be highly inappropriate for a foreign leader to get involved in a one-party affair.

That’s of course in addition to the fact that Netanyahu knows that white Democreeps need the votes of their naïve Jewish fellow travelers to get elected, and boycotting Netanyahu won’t help them, so they want meet with him for cover and then boycott the address (not necessarily in that order). Why would he provide his enemies with such cover?

When all is said and done, Netanyahu knows that almost all Republicans support his country and most Democreeps are his country’s enemies. It’s not just the Jew-hater in chief, it’s most of them.
