My Dear Bobover Reb. You were a Reb. What a Reb. You were there for all of us. You always came to all of our simchas and by you being there bought such simcha to our simchas. In Bobov you were a Reb. You noticed anybody who was there for the first time and welcomed them so graciously. For those of us who were part of Bobov you always showed interest in us.
Unfortunately you were unable to be there for us
physically, for the last few years, do to your illness. I am sure that now that you are in the next world. You will once again be able to be there for us. For those of us who were part of Bobov I am sure you still have an interest in us and will pray for us, you knowing what we need. For those who you did not so well you will also inter seed on their behalf. Thank you for being my Reb. I could not have had a more special Reb. then you.

A Bobover

lebediger - when your mother is very sick, you try to find as many zechusim as possible. if that happens to be the mitzvah of misameach chussen v'kaleh, then that's the appropiate thing to do. anyone who is remotely familiar with the Bashe"t's teachings knows knows that best way to be po'el yeshuos is thru simche.

Sep 12, 2008 at 10:39 AM Bobov Chossid Says:

Mordcha Dovid and Shea are not sitting shiva. They have/had nothing mith the Rebbetzin. The Rav is sitting Shiva in the Rebbetzin's house on 48st and 15th Ave.

And BTW the Rav came to the chupa straight from the hospital and the Rav went back to the Hospital right after the chupa. The Rav came back later to dance mitzvah tantz!!! I have never seen such a emotional Mitzvah tantz in my life!

The Bobover Rebbe RM"d's wife is a STEP gradaughter of the Nifteres. Which means - nothing! Not related at all!

Sep 12, 2008 at 05:37 PM my report Says:

the mitah came to the beis hamedrish around 9.10 pm it was carried in to shul, interestingly diferent then by the leviiyes of the last 2 rebbes the peroches was not taken down. the only son (ruv shlita) was maspid it was very different then we expected knowing the minhag in bobov that there are no hespidim, also the air in most people expecially the young was of bewilderance as if who exactly are we melave now.
i guess that may be the reason the ruv spoke so long (almost 25 minutes) he told the young oilim about his mother who was sick the last 20 years, of her midos and her dedication to the holy ruv ztzl. the ruv was reading some letter his father wrote to his mother (the ruv was a gifted writer, and often wrote poems to his wife and children.. was mechaber the famous kinnus we say tisha buv)

conclusion was some heartful good by"s from a child to his only mother while also mentioning his oldest and younggest sisters that dedicated their time takeing care of his mother, explaining that the other daughters all lived over seas and thus hard to be there all the time.

the only thing the ruv did not metion was the kneidel form... but i guess i date myself this goes back 30-40 years (and yes i hope i do bring a smile to the readers that do remember.. gite tzeiten geven)

should she be a meilitz yoisher for klal yisroel

he didn't say oldest and youngest he said that all his sisters gave them selfs fully to help their mother but it was harder for the ones over seas

Sep 15, 2008 at 04:40 PM Anonymous Says:

Shea, a fact cannot be denied, something so many people heard by the levaya, the exact words which were "der eltzter un der yingster" (the oldest and the youngest).

Sep 16, 2008 at 12:46 AM Shea Says:

bring me proof? get a life!

Sep 16, 2008 at 09:22 AM Anonymous Says:

Its a fact that does not need a proof, you have pain and you want to refusa to grant the truth of a statement, its a fact what hundreds of people heard at the levaya and on the hotlne,
Its an unconscious defense mechanism characterized by refusal to acknowledge painful realities.

B.T.W. Her husband Rabbi Jonosan Goldberger was yesterday Menachem Ovel and was there an half hour and the Rebbe (brother in law) did not acknowledge him.

Sep 16, 2008 at 10:49 AM Shulem Says:

I was also by the levaya, if its a fact then why didnt i hear the rav saying that? You hear what you want to hear!

Sep 16, 2008 at 11:06 AM Anonymous Says:

A little historical background is in order to understand what is being discussed here. When Reb Naftule became Rebbe in 2000, everybody in Bobov knew that there will have to be a split. How and when nobody knew. Rabbi Goldberger, who didn't want to get involved in this dispute, built himself a Beth Hamedrash and called it Bukovsk which is the first town where the first Bobover Rebbe became Ruv. Rabbi Goldberger is a gentleman and is on friendly terms with everybody who wants to be friendly to him on both sides, including the 45th Street Bobover Rebbe and Ruv. He does not play politics when making a simchah. For this aveiroh of practicing Bobov’s most important tenet of “sholom” , 48 Street is livid on him. Also the entire justification given for Reb Benzion to be Rebbe is a so called "rutzen" of his father, which no one of the trusted and respected confidants of the Rebbe Reb Shloime have ever heard from him. The Dayen has said on numerous occasions that everybody in the family heard and knew this, but here comes a Rabbi Goldberger, who hasn't heard anything!!! This is the reason why Reb Benzion left out his sister Goldberger. The Street is up with this, because politics at home is one thing, but to play dirty politics in public is uncalled for a Rebbe. Im koton atoh be'einecho, rosh shiftei Yisroel atoh.

Sep 16, 2008 at 11:09 AM Anonymous Says:

I heard it too and he did say it. The tape is available for all to see/hear. That he didn't acknowledge his brother-in-law Goldberger who sat there for a half hour, is also not true?

Sep 16, 2008 at 11:58 AM Anonymous Says:

Goldbeger did it to himself!

Sep 16, 2008 at 11:56 AM Anonymous Says:

If you can’t read, doesn’t mean that I can’t write. When someone’s vocabulary is attacked, it means that what was written cannot be attacked,

Sep 16, 2008 at 11:53 AM Anonymous Says:

Clarification, Not the Dayen said it but his brother-in-law Rabbi Horowitz. The Dayen to his credit didn't say that he heard it himself but that he heard it from other people, without naming them. People were surprised to hear Rabbi Horowits say that everyone in the family knew so, when the Dayen clearly said that he didn't, but had heard it from others.

Sep 16, 2008 at 12:16 PM Anonymous Says:

You have the facts wrong, bec. you are just making up some stories. If you would know the story well enough you wouldnt have to keep on changing your mind first you say the the dayan said it and then you say Rabbi horowitz said it! make up your mind!

Sep 16, 2008 at 12:14 PM Shulem Says:

I dont think you know what you are writing! You just keep on typing on and on, Abi you should have some text there. What you write does not make a bit of sense. Take a few minutes to review what you wrote.

Sep 16, 2008 at 12:48 PM Anonymous Says:

Bobov Chosid, health is more important then Rebbe, and so is Hashem more important then the Rebbe.

Sep 16, 2008 at 01:51 PM Anonymous Says:

Sep 17, 2008 at 09:36 AM Baruch Says:

On the tape that was recorded from the hotline, you hear the Rebbe says:
איך וויל בעטן די מאמע זאל זיין א מליצת יושר פאר אירע קינדער, בפרט דער עלצסטער און דער יונגסטער און די אנדערע וואס וואוינען מעבר לים

Moshe Zvi, do you want me to give you names? I don't know if VIN allows it. Such a hisnahagus, shows that Bobov as everyone once knew it, is not to be found there.

מן המקום מנחם יזרוק אתכם בתוך שאר אבלי בן ציון

Sep 18, 2008 at 04:29 PM Moshe Tzvi Says:

To 2:52, you can try convincing the world, but not me!

Sep 19, 2008 at 10:53 AM Anonymous Says:

M.T., you have an interest in denying it, as the name you chose sarcastically to mock the former Agudah representative in the United Nations, who is a strong chosid of the Bobover Rebbe Unger. I started giving names but VIN rightfully deleted it, because these people have a right to privacy. But you cannot deny something everyone knows. If you are ashamed of it, which is good news, then do something about it. Speak up to your leadership and ask them: is this Bobov? When did “your Bobov” learn such bad middos?

Sep 19, 2008 at 03:23 PM Moshe Tzvi Says:

Someone i know personally was with the Rav 99% of the time, and he agrees with me, not one Rebbe or Rav was thrown out. You should be ashamed of yourself to even say such a thing!

Sep 22, 2008 at 02:15 PM Anonymous Says:

To add salt to the wounds of Bobov, the Rebbitzen was not buried next to her mother and mother-in-law as she wished, but rather outside the Ohel. Also there, politics came before her koved, and she was placed closer to her stepson then to her husband. If this is Bobov, then I don't want any part of it.

Sep 23, 2008 at 03:28 PM Anonymous Says:

Playing politics with the matzeivah too, the matzeivah contains these words "she was his wife for 52 years", something unheard of to be put on a matzeivah of a Rebbitzen. The reason it was put there, is to stress that she was his main wife, and not Rebbetzin Blima Rochel the mother of Reb Naftule. Blatant disregard for decency is what broke Bobov in half.
