IsraelNN TV joined 87-year-old Seiryu Kiriyama, President of Agon Shu, at a dedication ceremony of the wheelchairs at the Yad Sarah headquarters in Jerusalem. Jerusalem Mayor and Yad Sarah founder – Uri Lopolianski greeted the visitors. Uri Lopolianski needed a interpreter to communicate with the generous guests – but he made sure to end his speech with a goodbye in Japanese – “Sayonara”.
Yad Sarah is the largest volunteer organization in Israel. It provides a spectrum of free or nominal cost services designed to make life easier for sick, disabled and elderly people and their families. During the past year, Yad Sarah has lent out close to 25,000 wheelchairs in more than 100 Yad Sarah branches throughout Israel.

“not your honey and not your sting”!
How can Rabbi Lupoliansky accept such a donation when three chareidi bochrim are sitting in Japan’s jails when Japan knows they are not guilty of drug smuggling?
Very simple, by accepting such a donation, he is one step closer in negotiating their return. Say a kopitel Thillim and we’ll be another step closer.
