Germany – Compiles List of Jews Persecuted by Hitler

Germany – The government has compiled a list of some 600,000 Jews who lived there from 1933 to 1945 and suffered discrimination by the Nazis, an index that is to be distributed among leading archives to help descendants research the fate of their families.

The government said today it would give the list to Israel’s Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial, Washington’s Holocaust Museum, the Jewish Claims Conference and the International Tracing Service in Bad Arolsen, Germany.

Germany’s federal archive drew up the list, which the government and a foundation that oversaw the compensation of Nazi-era slave laborers financed it to the tune of $2.24 million.

“In handing over this list, we want to make a substantial contribution to documenting the loss that German Jewry suffered through persecution, expulsion and destruction,” foundation leader Guenter Saathof said in a statement coinciding with a handing-over ceremony at the chancellery.

The government said the idea for the list, drawn up over the past four years, first arose during negotiations over unpaid insurance claims dating back to the Nazi era. It was compiled using information held in the nation’s federal archive, as well as municipal registries and deportation lists.

The list was not released to the public today. The foundation said it is subject to strict German data protection laws, given that it contains names of people who are still alive.

…The Government has compiled a list of all the Jews who lived there (in germany) from 1933 to 1945… …No Jews LIVED in [nazi] germany [openly] from 1939 to 1945! They were either interned in the concentration camps or exterminated

[by the various, brutal methods devised by german “engineering” and “science”] or had emigrated, while they had a chance! That brings up the question; Whether there was a sizable number of Jews living in nazi germany during WWII?! And if so, who facilitated their underground existence?!

A partial answer could be found in the fact that there was a network of members of the nazi forces whose [racial] status was not clear [from the government’s point of view] due to the fact that one of the members of their paternal or maternal lineage was of Jewish descent. Their status was deliberately left murky by the nazi leadership in order to keep them in line. They, according to some sources formed an underground network in addition to the one ran by Col. Von Stauffenberg!!!

These mischlings, mostly military personal were found and listed as early as 1935. If a person was 50% (just 2 Jewish grandparents) Jewish and did not attend services as a Jew and was not married to a Jew, Hitler y”sh reserved the right to “Aryanize” such people and they recieved a certificate signed by the Fuhrer verifying their “Aryaness”. After the assassination attempt, many of these people in the military who had been previously aryanized were removed because Hitler y”sh felt he cound not trust them.

This was done as the Russians were approaching from the East and the exodus of trained officers hurt the German defence badly. Lev malachim vsarim biyad Hashem.
