In a statement, a copy of which was made available to IRNA on Sunday, the association said, “We Iranian Jews condemn claims of the US State Department on Iranian religious minorities, announced that we are fully free to perform our religious duties and we feel no restriction on performing our religious rituals.”
It said that evidently, the hostile propaganda of enemies of the Iranian nation cannot have the least effect on historical solidarity among the Iranian people and that the global arrogance has not yet understood the cultural and social conditions in Iran.

It added that the global arrogance once again proved that it not only has no understanding of solidarity among Iranians of monotheistic faith but also uses absurd propaganda to divide Iranians and harm their interests.

    Riiiiiiiiiiight…

Let’s say they are not being “tolerated”: would they dare say so? Of course not. In that case, when they say they ARE being “tolerated”, we unfortunately cannot believe it (without credible evidence).

There are thousands of Jews in Iran so lets be careful. If you were living there you would also not want others to agitate against the government for fear of reprisals. We can only pray for their safety and yes even use connections like extreme groups like neturei karta to intercede on their behalf. Every religious group has its good points. Agudah would intercede on behalf of satmer to get government programs and lubavitch would help satmers stuck in out of town areas needing a shabbos host etc.

If the frumme Zionists are so skeptical of what goes on in Iran, so why the heck don’t they check it out for themselves instead of being so darn lazy and hysterical?

WHY ARE 25,000 JEWS STILL LIVING IN IRAN?

It’s time that frummelach stop the chilul hashem of always leading the call to international bloodshed!

Watch out guys. Soon they will be labled as a “Neturei Karte”.

Still, lets not be kidding. Any protest here in the USA is not going to help our brothers in Iran. Es zoll nor nisht shatten.

My husband is Iranian/Kurdish. He says they cannot show their true feelings about the Governmnt, or else the Jewish community would have more problems as if they do not have at this time.

Very difficult for them to make Aliyah at this time, if at all possible. So…..they need to CLOSE THEIR LIPS.

We did the same when we were under the Romans, we praised them to the hilt, so that they should leave us alone. The Nodah beYehuda held a hesped for the macheshaifoh Maria Theresa, and so on and on. An emperor who didn’t kill many Jews was considered a Tzadik. We are still in golus, folks.
