The installation marks the municipality’s latest campaign attempt to boost tourism and draw visitors to the capital in the coming season – in a whimsical, cheery fashion – which is set to run through October.

Street artists and music productions are expected to liven up the scene along with the umbrellas in the coming months.

They just dont get it, this is not why people come to Israel, they come for the cobble stones, for the serene and holy feeling, not the pop culture.

I was there not long ago and was surprised when I arrived, that the airport was promoting Berlin German watches, models and the west, instead of promoting the western wall, the dead sea and all other historical and all the agriculture it has.

    What a shame.

Funny for a country that has a special Tefillah for rain!

Guys, this isn’t just to draw foreigners, and it’s not in the old city. This is along the bars and Ben Yehuda – a pedestrian mall.

Lots of Israelis go up north during the summer. This will bring local tourists back to Yerushalayim as a nice place to spend a day, beyond just going to the kosel.
