YNETNEWS.com (http://bit.ly/1DMqMNZ) reports that order was issued after the boy fled treatments at the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa recently.

The boy, who at age 9 was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), was declared recovered following treatment, but a second bout with illness surfaced in early 2014 requiring surgery.

On Sunday the boy released a video calling on Israelis to demonstrate in front of the hospital, and saying “Even if I have to die,” let me die with dignity– that is all I’m asking” .

Post-surgery, doctors ordered chemotherapy treatments to guarantee there would not be a third round, but after meeting with a Rabbi who decided the treatments were unnecessary, both the boy and his family rejected doctors’ recommendation.

His doctors subsequently won an order from the court requiring the family to comply.

I think there’s an update to this story.

Rumor has it that Rav Kanievsky became involved and the matter is settled (with the boy and his family’s compliance.)

May he have a Refuah Shlemah !
