Interest in the New York billionaire forced organizers to move the event from the Mobile Civic Center, which holds about 2,000 people, to Ladd-Peebles Stadium, a 40,000-seat football stadium. The Alabama secretary of state’s office said more than 30,000 are expected Friday night.

Trump tweeted: “We are going to have a wild time in Alabama tonight! Finally, the silent majority is back!”

During the height of the Vietnam War, President Richard Nixon sought the backing of the “silent majority,” widely considered to be Americans who stood behind him and weren’t getting attention. Trump has derided elected officials and cast his candidacy as an outsider’s bid.

Maybe his next event should be at Nuremberg. I remember hearing about this guy who said a lot of crazy things but had no chance of winning…

Trump is the best thing for America now indeed. Viable candidate or not, he has forced the other contenders to embrace the difficult topics of the day.
I daresay he can win too.

Surprising that he’s doing so well that he may actually have a role at the Republican convention. Remember that Nelson Rockefeller couldn’t be elected because of only 1 divorce.
