Speaking to his students, Rabbi Moshe Shternbuch stressed the importance of being dressed as a Torah observant Jew.

Rabbi Shternbuch recounted the story of Rabbi Moshe Schneider who during the second world war insisted on walking the streets of his hometown in his rabbinic dress. Despite the dangers involved, Rabbi Schneider grew his payos longer so that it would be apparent to all that he was a practicing Jew, as reported by Israeli news site Ynet.

“In this time when G-d’s presence is hidden, when thousands of Jews are being flung into the figurative furnace of fire, there are thousands that react in shock and ask ‘Where is G-d during this time?’, resulting in a chilul Hashem,” said Rabbi Shternbuch. “Therefore it is fitting to go about in public, dressed as a Jew, with a beard and with payos, as a public announcement that Chareidi Judaism is alive and well and that Jews are not embarrassed of their identity, but even more so, they are proud to display their heritage and their Judaism and to continue serving Hakadosh Baruch Hu.”

Rabbi Shternbuch also blamed the recent wave of attacks on those Jews who have gone up onto Har Habayis.

“That handful of people who go up on Har Habayis will be held accountable for this, because they are causing the Yishmaelim to kill Jews,” said Rabbi Shternbuch. “They are also causing this to become a religious war because Har Habayis is considered a holy place for the Arabs.”

At the nearby Diaspora Yeshiva located on Mt. Zion just outside the Old City, learning goes on, albeit with a hefty measure of caution.

“We have our fingers on the pulse of the situation, looking to the right and the left, and continuing on,” said a yeshiva spokesperson.

Of course he couldn’t be content with his positive comments about Jewish clothing, he had to blame SOMEBODY (ANYBODY) for the cause of the hate attacks against us. Nothing changes in the fingerprinting Charedi world…

Thank you VIN for posting this article.
Rabbi Shternbuch is a million percent correct about the Har Habayis.
Right wing religious Jews are provoking murderess Palestinian maniacs. This has been the motto of Zionist all along.

In fact there is a free translation of a Yiddish transcript of a taped interview made
many years ago with the late Rabbi Boruch Kaplan, who was a principal of the Beis Yaakov Girls School in Brooklyn, and who was a student in the Hebron yeshiva in 1929 at the time of the killing many Jews by Arabs. Rabbi Kaplan explains how events unfolded, and how it was the arrogant and cowardly Zionists who perpetrated the events by provoking the Arabs. He also adds some comments about events at the time he recounted this story, some 30 years ago.

It is urgent for every sane Ehrlica Yid to listen to what Rabbi Kaplan had to say which is repeating itself these days.

I think he is mixing up the excuse with the reason. Har habayis is only the excuse not the reason.

Maven you are no Maven. It is these religious Zionist boys who are protecting us all. Your views are no different then those in europe who said just be nice to the Germans and everything will be fine. look what happened. You are a fool if you think this is because of Har Habayit. This is purely an attempt to eradicate us. Look at the whole middle east . Do you really think this is not connected to what is going on in Syria etc.

Thanks Rabbi, for justifying the attacks in Jewish people. Surely your wise interpretation of events will be appreciated at the UN and NY Times who are all too pleased to blame the Jews for getting slaughtered.

Sorry. But I have a real, real hard time swallowing the idea that Jews should be blamed for being stabbed, run over or shot. If you think it is humiliating for them that Jews enter the Temple Mount, understand that the very presence of Jews in what they consider the ancient caliphate is an affront to their senses. Until the Israel is Judenrein, (God Forbid!) they will continue to be humiliated by a Jewish presence.

It is really unnerving to see this Arab propaganda being mouthed by Jews. Can those who agree, please explain then, how over 200,000 Syrians were murdered by their own brothers, or why ISIS rapes and kills innocent people all over the middle East or the train bombings in Europe, the beheading of journalists, etc, etc, etc. Ad Nauseum.

The Arabs teach their children to hate, to kill and to love bloodshed. When they will stop teaching violence, and start teaching the value of life and humanity, this will stop.

Until then, expect more of this.

In a time of sakonos nefoshos mamosh, I am shocked at the judgement of our gedolim to utter such words and even if he said it b’tzina, this is playing right into the hands of the sonei yisroel. Bimchilas kvod Horav –

yup in france a 15 yr old arab boy shot his teacher cuz a jew went to Har Habayis.
The muslims kill maim rape and burn because that is what they are taught is a mitzvah. and oilom haba has 72 virgins for these horny depraved toads.
They were psychopaths before anyone went up o har habayis. but then one would need to know some history that isn’t in the gemara.
So disappointed to hear a godol speak and give credibility to a murderer like abbas and all the other sonei yisroel ….shameful

The Bais Hamikdosh was destroyed because of sinas chinam and the cure to bring the geula is ahavas chinam. Although most Rabbanim forbid going on the Har Habayis, would it be considered as ahavas chinam to accept that some have differing views and to daven to Hashem that we accept that others have differing opinions and that He should bring the geula and put an end to this madness. Should we be condemning our.fellow Jews or take a lesson from Rabbi Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev and judge our frllow Jews on the side of merit?

For thousands of years Jews were proud of our rational system of Torah and emunah. But this anti-Zionist, anti-Israel garbage is sickening and irrational. Talk about self-hating Jews!

I heard a chashuvah rav bring down from chazal that for every yid that goes up to har habayis and steps upon the kodesh hakadoshim, the Ebeshter will call back one of his yidden to himel to express his anger….read what you want into this inyan but in any event, its clearly a provocation to the terrorists who don’t really need an excuse to kill Jews but the mindless political hacks and selfish rabbonim who push this agenda have Yiddeshe blood on their hands.
