Oz said in comments published Friday in the Maariv newspaper that “in the wake of the growing extremism in the present government’s policy in various areas, I informed my hosts that I prefer not to be invited to events held in my honor at Israeli embassies overseas.”
Oz, whose work has been widely translated, is known to support the idea of a partition deal that would set up a Palestinian state alongside Israel.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he is ready to negotiate, but has promoted Jewish settlement expansion on war-won lands sought for a Palestinian state.
We have Amos Oz. Who needs enemies?
Don’t let the door hit you…………………………………………………….
Well Amos, that is so upsetting. You are so conceited. No thinking person who cares about Am Yisrael cares what you do or where you go.
Great loss !!!!
Self-hating Jews – you gotta love ’em, NOT
Yawn.
For those of you old enough to remember a different Oz:
“Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain”!
Because a guy is a great fiction writer does not guarantee that the grey stuff between his ears is solid. In this case, Oz is a political jerk and should go to live with Ab ass in the Arab paradise.
