New York, NY – In a presidential primary cycle that has been rife with non-traditional approaches to campaigns, one of the most telling is that candidates adhering to the seemingly tried-and-true method of packing their schedules with public events aren’t seeing their efforts pay off in the polls, while others, like GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, are reaping high numbers while keeping relatively moderate schedules.

NYTIMES.com (http://nyti.ms/1lVQn4o) reports that a day-by-day analysis of Republican presidential hopeful itineraries for the month of November reveals that Trump, who ran only 17 public events during the 30-day stretch, continues to poll much higher than candidate Jeb Bush, who ran a whopping 50 events.
When it comes to public events, Trump, according to the TIMES, “has developed a way of getting in and out with precision,” choosing to employ a “drop-in” style in which he flies in, speaks, socializes briefly, and then heads back home to either New York City or one of his several other residences.
Referring to his style, Trump said following a November stop in Orlando, FL, “Came up, I speak for 20 minutes, then get the hell out of here.”
