New York – Police say a 62-year-old woman crossing a street in Brooklyn has been struck and killed by a bus.

The MTA B36 bus was travelling eastbound on Avenue Z and made a left turn onto East 17th Street, striking Eleonora Shulkina. It happened just before 6 p.m. Monday.
Shulkina was taken to Coney Island Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say the driver of the bus remained at the scene.
There have been no arrests.

Time to ban busses, it seems they’re killing someone at about a pedestrian a week.

While I don’t know what happened in this particular case, has any one seen how pedestrians are walking. People are on the phone and just walking. People walk in between cars. People on bicycles jutting our of no where. Let’s not condemn the poor bus driver.
