Abbas says this will happen in about a year at the most, replacing the name Palestinian Authority.
He spoke after talks with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras. Abbas arrived in Greece on Sunday, and is due to address the country’s Parliament on Tuesday.
The parliamentary Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee has unanimously called on the Greek government to recognize Palestinian statehood.
Tsipras’ leftist-led government is trying to balance improved relations with Israel with his party’s longstanding support for a Palestinian state. Tsipras visited Israel last month, meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He also met with Abbas in Ramallah, West Bank.
Palestinians are embarrassed to have a passport from the State of Palestine, Not only are muslims today suspects of terrorism at airports and elsewhere, But having a passport from an entity that its only expertise is terror bloodshed and murder, an entity that its heroes are murder masterminds, which it honors in school textbooks, major streets and public squares, It pays terrorists and their families salaries and pensions according to how horrific their terror was, Would like to know who would want to be on a airplane with a Palestinian passport holder ?
They expect the world to hand them a state without making peace with israel.
Well now Jerusalem has to be in Israel on the passport.
So how will they differentiate between themselves and the State of Palestine pre-48? I know people who were born there and still have their passport saying they were born in Palestine.
Why is this even an issue?
