Jerusalem - Israeli Health Ministry Issues Warning After Charedi Woman Dies From Swine Flu; 6 Others Hospitalized

Jerusalem - The Health Ministry has issued a public warning calling for Israelis to get flu shots after one woman has died and 6 others have been hospitalized after contracting the H1N1 virus. ( reports that 55 year-old Esther Aryeh died this week after battling the virus for several weeks.

Yehuda Aryeh said his wife and mother to their 6 children may have lived had she been vaccinated.

"Had Esther gotten vaccinated, this might not have happened," said Yehuda. "I call on everyone to get vaccinated. If the doctors say we should - then we must."

Of those hospitalized from the virus, three are pregnant women who have been admitted over the past few days to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva.

One woman underwent a emergency Caesarean section due to the seriousness of her condition.
