Reno, NV – Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump says he doesn’t watch professional football much anymore because the NFL has gone “soft” like the United States.

Trump drew the analogy during a campaign speech to more than 3,000 people in downtown Reno on Sunday while casino sportsbooks were jammed with fans across the street watching the NFL playoffs.
The billionaire real estate magnate says a violent hit that used to be considered a great tackle by the likes of Hall of Famer Dick Butkus now draws a 15-yard penalty for head-to-head contact.
Trump says “the whole game has become screwed up” because “football has become soft like the country has become soft.” He says referees are constantly throwing penalty flags just so their wives can see them on TV.
The only thing thats gone soft is Trump’s head. The NFL and all sports are trying to reduce catastrophic injuries and concussions. That’s going soft? He has no empathy, no intellect and attracts same in his trailer park (and frum) followers. Over the weekend he had more people physically thrown out of his bund rallies.
Typical phony tough talk from this idiotic carnival barker. I’d love to put him on a football field face to face with today’s linbackers, tackles, etc. His pudgy body wouldn’t move two yards before he’d be beaten and battered so hard his Bozo-the-Clown orange pompadour would be on one sideline and his floppy pink necktie on the other,
And all those hard hitting NFL players now have soft brains.
These players get paid millions for that reason, I was watching the red skins game …every 2 minutes there was another flag people like me and trump don’t play football because we know we will get hurt ….but when your getting paid the big $$$$$ I definitely wana see some concussions

I have met several former professional football players and discussed injuries with them. I can tell you that the football players all had physical issues in their 40s and one of them told me he refused to let his sons play (and this was before we knew about the traumatic brain injuries). Those of use who choose to play sports do understand that there will be physical consequences. However, we all do not wish to be unnecessarily injured by unsafe practices and welcome innovations that keep us safe. I don’t suppose Trump has played any sports more athletic than golf (with his caddy carrying the clubs). As for Mr. Fake Mark Levin, I presume his athletic experience is limited to turning the knob on the radio from one hate station to another and rocking back and forth when he davens.
While I agree with Trump that America has gone soft using the NFL as an example is a poor analogy in this day and age.
