Obama traveled to Detroit on Wednesday to tour the North American International Auto Show and celebrate the resurgence in the industry and the city at large.

In remarks after his tour, Obama noted the widespread opposition to his decision to bail out the automakers.

Obama is portraying himself as a leader who doesn’t take the easy way out.

He says he didn’t run for president to be popular, but to do what needed to be done.

He says rescuing the U.S. auto industry and saving jobs during a recession needed to be done.

First Obama complains that we shouldn’t be ‘picking winners and losers’ (during the financial crisis) then when he thinks he picked a winner, it’s OK. -Loser!

Yes Obama did a great job turning around the economy. Thank you Obama for a job well done. Lest people say hey look at the stock market this month well,
    1) We are due for a correction. We were up for 6 yrs striaght
    2) China is out of our control
3)Low oil Prices thanks to Obama’s policies end up hurting the markets in the short term

So despite the fact that he messed up the economy on Obamacare (and perhaps thats why spending is slow at picking up as people are spending more on healthcare). nevertheless he did do a great job on the economy.

Over all an A- for Obama on the economy

There are so many drugged up addle-minded Obama supporters.

He spent $10 Trillion more than the government took in from revenues. Interest rates are near zero and the Fed bought $2 Trillion in distressed assets.

For the record, General Motors and Chrysler shareholders/bond holders were screwed.

The crisis in the automobile industry happened just as President-elect Obama was in Chicago getting ready. He certainly was involved in the bailout plan, he certainly approved of it, but President Bush was also involved. It is wrong to give Obama all the credit or all the blame.
