The move follows the Republican front-runner’s promise to boycott the Fox News debate. He’s been upset with Fox over what he calls unfair treatment from debate moderator Megyn Kelly and a sarcastic tweet from the network.
The campaign issued an advisory Wednesday night with details for what it’s calling a special event.
Just as the prime-time debate begins Thursday at 9 p.m. EST, Trump is scheduled to appear at Drake University in Des Moines at an event the campaign says will benefit veterans.
The appearance will be just two miles from where his Republican rivals gather for the debate.
Trump is afraid of Meghan Kelly on FOX. LOL! He’s a kapirot…
At some point all good people must laugh and say that was fun, and move on to elect a true conservative that can rescue our once great nation and not add to our embarrassment
His childish behavior just cost him my vote. If he can’t handle questions from this reporter that he calls a “lightweight”, how will he stand up to world leaders?

nothing wrong with skipping a debate where fox is clearly trying its hardest to knock trump down so they can push for the establishment . regarding megyn kelly in the last week she brings on a group from national review to criticize trump , and this week brings on radical leftist michael moore to slam trump, so tell me whether its right or left fox is clearly trying to destroy trump, good for him to walk away and tell them to go to hell and not profit off his back.
