New York businessman Trump, who is involved in a spat with Fox News, has vowed to skip Thursday night’s Republican presidential debate hosted by the network and instead has said he will hold an event to benefit military veterans.
CNN said Huckabee would participate in the Republican debate first and then go to Trump’s event.
Santorum, a former U.S. lawmaker, will participate in the so-called “undercard” debate for Republican presidential candidates with less support in the polls before going to the event with Trumpy, his campaign said.
Donald Trump has launched a new website for collecting donations to veterans ahead of his event on Thursday evening.
The link, which Trump posted on Twitter, includes the seal of the Donald J. Trump Foundation, and a form for contributions.
It says that 100 percent of donations will go directly to veterans’ needs.
Trump has chosen to skip Thursday night’s final GOP debate before Monday’s Iowa caucuses.
Watching kid’s table GOP debate, Ricky Santorum just slammed Trump for not attending main debate. Called him an ‘entertainer’. Even rug chewer Mark Levin attacked Trump for his no show.
