Des Moines, IA -  Senator Ted Cruz beat billionaire Donald Trump in Iowa’s presidential nominating contest on Monday, dealing a big upset to the national front-runner in the race to be the Republican Party’s White House nominee in 2016.

Cruz, a conservative lawmaker from Texas, won with 28 percent of the vote compared to 24 percent for businessman Trump, according to MSNBC.

Marco Rubio, a U.S. senator from Florida, came in third place with 23 percent, making him easily the leader among establishment candidates.

I think this is a blessing in disguise for Marco Rubio. The fact that Rubio came in so close to Trump makes Trump vulnerable to both candidates from Cruz that ultimately will lose momentum as the other states are in play and from Rubio who will start to pick up even more momentum as the process plays out. Mark my words!
