Obama is chiding the GOP candidates Tuesday for harsh talk about Muslims and immigration and for questioning climate change. He said: “This is not just Mr. Trump.”
Obama is contrasting the reality of being president with the rhetoric on the campaign trail. He said “I continue to believe Mr. Trump will not be President and the reason is because I have a lot of faith in the American people and I think they recognize that being President is a serious job. It’s not hosting a talk show or a reality show. It’s not promotion. It’s not marketing. It’s hard.”
Obama spoke at a news conference after hosting a summit with Southeast Asian leaders. He says foreign observers are “troubled” by the Republican primaries and debates. He says other countries count on the U.S. to side with science and common sense.
Obama predicted that U.S. voters will “make a sensible choice in the end.”
Yes it is an incompetent president who speaks…..
What nerve this lowlife Kenyan has! How dare he. He, with his muslim leanings,a nod constant (over) outreach to the muslim world has betrayed America and put their interests first. Of course my normal people know why that is. And now that he’s about to thankfully leave office he deems himself fit to predict who will be elected? Time for him to bow out and stop his efforts to destroy America,
Funny Americans voted for Obama.
What chutzpah Obama has! As far as I know, this is the first time in modern American history, that a sitting lame duck, US President, has publicly spoken out against a potential nominee for President. The last time that anything similar to this occurred, was in 1960, when former President Harry Truman criticized John F. Kennedy’s qualifications. However, Truman at that time had been out of office for eight years. The current occupant of the White House, should concentrate on completing his term, and should keep his nose out of the political campaign.
Hey Prez..If Trump has a chance to succeed you, you have yourself to blame. You have done so much to destroy and divide this country that people have become enraged enough to vote for a guy like Trump that just may turn around your destructive and polarizing agenda. Good riddance to you and yours.
