Biden is pushing back after opponents of approving President Barack Obama’s nominee highlighted remarks Biden made on the Senate floor. Biden chaired the Senate Judiciary Committee at the time and said that should a Supreme Court vacancy arise, then-President George H.W. Bush shouldn’t nominate a replacement until after that fall’s presidential election.

But Biden says in a statement that’s not an accurate description of his views. He notes he also said in that speech that the Senate and White House should work together to overcome differences.

Biden says as senator he ensured prompt consideration for Supreme Court nominees and the Senate must do that now.

    And so did Obama …..

Just about anyone that occupied a high position in the Obama administration has a record of honesty and consistency that is dreadful. Obama himself has lied so consistently that one cannot safely ask him for the time or weather. Hillary is a documented liar, and has flip flopped on so many issues it is pathetic. We will defer comments about her murderous tendencies and morality (lack thereof) for another forum. Kerry has also been multiple mouthed, and a rather consistent liar. The qualification that Biden met in order to be picked as a running mate for Obama was the above collection of character traits.

The other quality was the blind preoccupation with partisan politics. This could easily allow for trashing of the Constitution in order to bolster the Democratic Party. Illegal? So what?

I can never trust anyone connected to Obama, past or present.

When Obama was asked why he pushed a filibuster against Samuel Alito in 2004 he said “That was then and this is now” Brilliant line!! Let the Republicans delay or not even bring his nominee to a hearing or vote and the other tricks they have and then say “That was then and this is now”
