Kiryas Joel, NY – KJ Fire Department are on the scene for a working fire at commercial dinning-room at the Kiryas Joal Satmar Yeshiva at 7 Barditchev Drive and Schunemunk Road.
Command on the scene requesting a 2nd alarm for structure that’s fully engulfed requesting multiple departments from Monroe, Blooming Grove and Woodbury to respond to the scene. Building has been evacuated and no one has been injured.

Fire is under control at this time. The fire is suspicious and is being investigated as intentionally set.

Who in their right mind would intentionally set fire to a dining room???
I think it was an electric fire, started at the celling at the exhaust fan
They have installed a horn that they signal to send up the boys when it’s time to finish eating (BTW the noise level of that alarm is way above the OSHA limit)
At the same second the alarm went off the boys started see fire coming from carts that carry the cutlery
the horn company is already by the yeshiva to fix the horn
my brother from Yeshivah tells me they ate supper there tonight. so it can’t be that bad.
Today At 5 The Rebbe Spoke In Yeshiva About The Fire And Said That He Thinks It Was Intentionaly Lit And He’s Sacred From An Hakpude From The Rebbe’s Z”l And All Should Pay $10 Kofer Nefesh And Tomorow After Davenen All Will Say A Yom Tehilem And Said That Once The D”Y Had BaKansed The Kuhl For Something And Said That Even Those Who Where Not There Should Pay Since They Enjoyed It AK”D Att About 300 Bucherem Are Reported Paid
