According to the New York Post, a federal grand jury will be meeting this week in regard to alleged improprieties by Hynes.
A 27 page report released by the New York City Department of Investigation in 2014 accused Hynes of using forfeiture funds to pay political consultant Mortimer Matz $1.1 million. The DOI report also said that Judge Barry Kamins improperly provided Hynes with legal, campaign and judicial advice. Kamins ultimately stepped down from his post as the chief administrator for the New York City Criminal Court as a result of the DOI report.
Both Hynes and his lawyer Robert Hill Schwartz were unable to comment due for medical reasons.
The 81 year old Hynes, who served as district attorney for more than two decades, is recovering from a “serious and incapacitating stroke” according to Schwartz’s office, while Schwartz is recovering from open heart surgery.
I hope that the YIMACH SHEMO’N UK Bharara is next
When will Hynes get indicted for refusing to go hard against frum child molesters because community leaders gave him votes and other favors?
Wasn’t Hymes responsible for the Hynes Commission. They sent to jail a lot of nursing home owners, including trumped up charges on Bernard Bergmen
Mostly frum are involved and they committed HORRENDOUS crimes.
When are you going to get your heads out of the sand and understand that your job as Yidden is to protect our innocent children???? How many kids have to be shoved off the derech before you stop judging them and realize that there are huge problems in our society and we have to stop ignoring them!!!! Stop labeling the kids and start understanding them!
That’s what happens when you overstay your welcome.
Hynes is immoral in every way, but it won’t matter because he’s too sick to stand trial. #2 is right, he traded non-indictments for favors, bribes and other “incentives.” I know one of his “incentives” and I want to know how she can live with herself.
He and the Rockland county DA should share a jail cell for all the Frum pedophiles they protected and refused to prosecute.
