De Blasio sent out a tweet saying, “Fireworks are fun — but let’s leave them to the professionals.”

Police say a 19-year-old man was hurt Sunday, and his friends say he stepped on something that exploded. The Fire Department said the man possibly suffered an amputation, and was taken to a hospital.

Officials have not yet said what caused the explosion or identified the injured man. The police department is investigating.

Mr, Mayor how about increasing security so people won’t leave bombs or fireworks hanging around Central Park right near the Central Park Zoo of all places.

Running a city is also fun – but that too should be left to professionals.
