It happened early Monday morning in Brooklyn.
Police said the officer was driving his personal vehicle in the East New York neighborhood when he was involved in a traffic dispute with a 37-year-old man in another car.
They say when both cars stopped at a red light the man exited his car and punched the officer repeatedly through an open window.
Police say the officer pulled out his service weapon and shot the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The officer was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
Police haven’t identified the officer or the other motorist. They say the incident remains under investigation.
Just write his family a check for $6 million and call it a day.
Two more lives ruined by guns needlessly.
Sounds like a police officer followed his training.
Good for him.
Bad for the guy that couldn’t control his temper.
Where are the gun control advocates now????
A cop gets into a road rage incident and shoots a man and that’d ok!
Never, ever fails, every July 4 always brings out the crazies into the street. This guy’s family would be very quiet had he killed the cop instead.
“The officer was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries” if his life was never threatened what in the world did he shoot him for??
why do cops get the benefit of the doubt, after all these scandals I would actually be questioning everything they say.
