The incident took place this past Friday night at approximately 9:30 PM in the area of 50th Street and 15th Avenue. The two men entered the apartment building and forced their way into the apartment of a 76 year old man demanding money. The two confined the victim to a chair as they searched his apartment, leaving with approximately $3 in cash and a fax machine.
“A hundred times I told them listen, my money is in the bank. I don’t carry money,” the victim told CBS News.
Police told VIN News that they had no record of any words spoken during the incident and that it did not appear that any weapons were used in the robbery. The victim was not injured in the attack.
One of the suspects was described as a white bearded male, wearing a white t-shirt, dark shoes and pants and a black baseball cap. The other suspect was dressed in a black t-shirt and dark colored shorts, sneakers and a dark bucket hat.

What a bizarre incident. $3 cash and an obsolete FAX machine?
Anyway these two stooges who left their fingerprints all over the place should be easily caught quickly.
Nebach! The guy with the baseball cap looks like a yeshivaman.
something doesn’t add up, who would do this for 3 bucks, which is a ONE way ticket on the subway, the real criminals with the high powered lawyers steal much more than that and get away with it.
On of them looks like he’ll be using the Mesira defense very soon.
From the video it looks like they knew who they were targeting. And one guy definitely looks jewish…..
Shabbos or not, if you wait 24 hours to alert the police, you were either not threatened or you become liable in endangering the safety of your neighborhood because you allowed potentially dangerous criminals enough time to escape. What if the next time they strike, they will hurt or kill someone? Your excuse is you can’t make a phone call on shabbos even though this is emergency situation too.
I hope VIN will follow up on this story after the arrests and NAME the culprits.
Nebech a Yid robbing another Yid on SHABBOS of all times.
