New York – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is suggesting the U.S. accept Russia’s annexation of Crimea if it would lead to better relations with Moscow and stronger cooperation in fighting Islamic State militants.

In an interview Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Trump suggested that the people of Crimea would rather be part of Russia. That runs counter to the Obama administration, which imposed economic sanctions against Russia for annexing the territory in Ukraine two years ago.
The United Nations doesn’t want countries to recognize Crimea as part of Russia, and some top Republicans are staunchly defending Crimea against what they say is Russian aggression.
Anyone remember Munich Agreement of 1938 and the annexation the “Sudetenland” by Germany ym”s with theach blessing of Neville Chamberlain???
Accepting Russia’s annexation of Crimea would invite further aggression from them.
In 1994, Ukraine gave up their nuclear arms, as a condition, the IS promised to defend Ukraine’s borders.
Chamberlain also argued (in 1937) that accepting Germany’s occupation of Czechoslovakia would bring more peace and greater good.
Trump is putting his foot in his mouth. If the US will give in to the Russian aggression then the US will look weak and what Obama did will look like child’s play compared to how the world will look at US with no respect. If Trump thinks that Russia will be less aggressive it will be just the opposite. Russia will take full advantage asking countries who wants to be allies of the US take a look who is stronger. It looks like to be if someone insults him he doesn’t care who it is he fights the person like showing a bull red and if someone gives him a compliment bo matter who it is he falls all over the person. Putin said he’s smart he is ready to give Russia everything and anything.
Who cares about Ukraine or anywhere else in Europe? I would not lose any sleep whatsoever if Russia invaded Europe. All I want is to not have to pay to defend them so that they can enjoy their own money.
So OK, we know what Russia wants. They want us to approved their dismemberment of Ukraine. Now tell me, what’s in the deal for us?
