The National September 11 Memorial and Museum’s “Tribute in Light” art installation just south of the World Trade Center site switched on just after sundown Sunday.

The beams from the 88 searchlights represent the twin towers.

They were first put in place six months after the attack and are now a yearly tradition.

    They’ll stay lit until dawn.
